Technical Data

• Drying Time (Touch Dry): 1 – 2 hours (dependent on temperature/humidity).

• Drying Time (Hard Dry): Approximately 3 hours.

• Recoating Interval: 3 – 4 hours between coats.

• Dry Film Thickness: 0.5 – 1.0 mm per coat.

• Volume Solids: Not applicable (High-build mineral coating).

• Shelf Life: Up to 12 months in tightly sealed original containers.

• Binder & Pigments: Formulated with an Acrylic Emulsion binder and Silica Sand/Inorganic Mineral Extenders.

Application Instruction

• Stirring: The product is supplied ready for use. Stir thoroughly before application. If thinning is necessary, add a maximum of 3% water.

• Application Tool: Apply primarily using a trowel to build thickness and create the base texture.

• Styling: While wet, use a spatula, brush, or specialized toolkit to carve patterns or create the "pitted" stone look.

Recommended Coating System

1. Sealer/Primer (1 Coat): Vinilex 5200 Wall Sealer or Hi-Bond Wall Sealer (highly recommended for powdery/skim-coated surfaces).

2. Intermediate (2 – 3 Coats): Nippon Momento Travertino (to build the 3D texture).

3. Finishing/Topcoat (1 – 2 Coats): Momento Sparkle, Fibercote, or other Nippon Interior products for color glazing
    

Surface Preparation

• Cleaning: Remove all loose, defective paint, powdery residues, dust, grease, and foreign matter.

• Repairing: Fill cracks and uneven surfaces with suitable fillers like EasySKIM 5000 and smoothen with sandpaper.

• Drying: Ensure the substrate is thoroughly dry; moisture content must be below 16% and alkalinity below pH9.

• Spot Priming: Repaired areas or powdery surfaces should be spot primed with the appropriate Nippon Interior Sealer.

• Environment: Avoid application in high humidity or when the surface is damp to ensure proper adhesion.
