Application Instruction

1. Base Coat Preparation: Ensure the wall is already painted with two coats of the recommended Momento Primer (matched to your desired Momento color) and allowed to dry completely.

2. Creating the Effect: Stir the Momento Elegant paint thoroughly. Using a Momento Synthetic Brush, apply the paint in a "criss-cross" or "swiping" motion. Do not use a roller, as this will flatten the texture.

3. Final Grooming: While the paint is still wet (within 5-10 minutes), use the brush to gently rearrange the sand textures to create the desired artistic pattern (e.g., cloud-like or slanted strokes).

Recommended Coating System

1. Sealer/Primer (1 Coat): Nippon Paint 5200 Wall Sealer or 5500 Wall Sealer (to ensure proper adhesion to the masonry).

2. Base Coat (2 Coats): Momento Primer (specifically tinted to match the selected Momento Elegant topcoat color).

3. Topcoat (1 Coat): Nippon Momento Textured Series (Elegant) applied with a synthetic brush. (Optional: Apply Momento Clear Coat for enhanced durability and washability)

Surface Preparation

1. Cleanliness: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, and wax.

2. Moisture & Alkalinity: Check that the wall moisture content is below 16% and the alkalinity is below pH 9 before starting.

3. Smoothness: For the best aesthetic result, the wall should be as flat as possible. Use Nippon Paint EasySkim 5000 to level any deep indentations.

4. Sanding: Lightly sand the surface and wipe off all dust to ensure the primer bonds effectively to the substrate.

5. Treatment: If fungus or algae are present, treat the area with Nippon Paint Fungicidal Wash and allow it to dry for 24 hours before cleaning and painting.
