Application Instruction

1. Base Layer: Ensure the wall is pre-painted with two coats of the designated Momento Primer (tinted to the matching silver-based color) and allow it to dry completely.

2. Texture Application: Stir the Sparkle Silver paint thoroughly. Using a Momento Synthetic Brush, apply the paint in a "criss-cross" or "swiping" motion. Do not use a roller, as the textured grains will not distribute correctly.

3. Grooming: Within 5–10 minutes of application (while still wet), use the same brush to gently sweep or rearrange the grains to achieve your desired pattern, such as a cloud-like or slanted effect.

Recommended Coating System

1. Sealer (1 Coat): Nippon Paint 5200 Wall Sealer or 5500 Wall Sealer (to ensure maximum adhesion and seal the masonry).

2. Base Coat (2 Coats): Momento Primer (tinted to the specific color code of your Sparkle Silver choice).

3. Topcoat (1 Coat): Nippon Momento Sparkle Silver (applied using the specialized brush technique). (Optional: Apply Momento Clear Coat for enhanced durability and easier maintenance).

Surface Preparation

1. Debris Removal: Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, and loose or flaking paint materials.

2. Moisture & Alkalinity: Verify that the wall moisture content is below 16% and the alkalinity is below pH 9 to ensure the primer bonds correctly.

3. Smoothing: For the best visual result, the wall should be relatively flat. Use Nippon Paint EasySkim 5000 to fill any deep pits or cracks before painting.

4. Sanding: Lightly sand the surface to remove any "nibs" or rough spots. Wipe away all dust with a damp cloth and allow to dry.

5. Biocidal Treatment: If fungus or algae is present, treat the area with Nippon Paint Fungicidal Wash, rinse with water, and allow it to dry for 24 hours before starting the sealer.
