Nippon Paint Momento® Cloud Pearl is a semi-transparent decorative finish that adds a soft, luminous glow to any interior wall. Part of the innovative Enhancer Series, it allows your chosen base color to peek through while layering it with a shimmering, pearl-infused texture. Its water-based, low-VOC, and formaldehyde-free formula makes it an eco-friendly choice for creating elegant feature walls in bedrooms, living rooms, and nursery spaces.
 

Technical Data

• Paint Type: Water-based acrylic decorative glaze.

Application Instruction

1. Preparation: Stir the Cloud Pearl glaze thoroughly before use. Ensure your colored base coat is completely dry (at least 4 hours after the second coat).

2. Application Method: Use the specialized Momento Synthetic Brush to apply the glaze in a "criss-cross" motion, spreading the pearlescent pigments to create a soft, cloud-like pattern.

3. Refining: After 10–15 minutes of drying, use the brush to gently "nudge" the pigments and granules into a soft, blended look before the paint sets.

Recommended Coating System

• Sealer (1 Coat): Nippon Interior Wall Sealer (for new or porous walls).

• Base Coat (2 Coats): Nippon Momento Primer or a premium emulsion like Nippon Odour-less AirCare in your preferred color.

• Finish Coat (1 Coat): Momento® Cloud Pearl.

 

Surface Preparation

1. Base Coat Quality: Ensure the underlying base coat is uniform in color and completely free of patches, streaks, or visible brush marks.

2. Cleanliness: The wall surface must be dry and free from dust, oil, grease, or any contaminants that could interfere with the glaze's adhesion.

3. Smoothness: Fill any cracks or imperfections with a suitable interior putty and sand smooth before applying the base coat.

4. Alkalinity Check: Ensure the wall is fully cured with a pH level below 9 and moisture content below 16% to protect the pearlescent finish.

5. Environment Control: Apply in a dust-free environment with good ventilation to ensure the "cloud" effect dries with maximum clarity and sheen.
