PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Nippon Paint EA4 Finish is a high-performance, two-pack amine-adduct cured epoxy coating designed to provide a decorative and highly durable finish. It is exceptionally resistant to abrasion, impact, and a wide range of chemicals, including oils, solvents, and mild acids.
Commonly used on internal concrete floors, masonry, and even properly primed steel, it is the go-to solution for high-traffic environments such as factories, warehouses, workshops, laboratories, and car parks. Its high-gloss finish not only improves aesthetics but also makes surfaces easier to clean and maintain.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
-
Mixing: Stir the Base (Part A) thoroughly. Add the Hardener (Part B) and mix until the color and consistency are completely uniform. Allow the mixture to stand for 10–15 minutes (induction time) before application.
-
Thinning: Use Nippon SA-65 Thinner.
-
Brush/Roller: Add 5–10% thinner if necessary.
-
Conventional Spray: Add 10–20% thinner.
-
-
Application Method: Roller is preferred for large floor areas to ensure even thickness. Brush is suitable for edging and small sections.
-
Cleaning: Clean all tools immediately with SA-65 Thinner after use.
RECOMMENDED COATING SYSTEM
For a professional and long-lasting result on concrete floors:
-
Primer (1 Coat): Nippon Paint Aqua Epoxy Primer or Nippon Paint Penetrative Epoxy Primer.
-
Finish (2 Coats): Nippon Paint EA4 Finish.
SURFACE PREPARATION
-
New Concrete: Must be cured for at least 28 days. The surface must be dry (moisture content < 4%) and free from laitance, dust, and curing compounds.
-
Cleaning: Remove all oil, grease, and contaminants using a degreaser or detergent. For smooth concrete, light track-blasting or acid etching is recommended to ensure a proper mechanical bond.
-
Old Paint: Remove all loose, peeling, or unstable paint films. Lightly sand existing sound epoxy coatings to provide a "key" for the new layer.
-
Environmental Conditions: Do not apply if the relative humidity exceeds 85% or if the surface temperature is less than 3°C above the dew point.
